As Halloween approaches it is time to start making plans for the extravaganza you will be hosting in your yard, including, of course, fog enshrined graves that open up our of your well-kept grass so that zombie monsters with bleeding, torn and ragged bodies can break violently out of their caskets, moaning and groaning and hungry for human brain meat, who trample around the yard just as the Presidential hopeful you love to hate flies by on a witch’s broom, cackling, and three or four dislocated hands run along the pathway to your door like little puppies to greet your trick-or-treating guests whilst a penetrating scream seems to emanate from your crawlspace, and off to the side of your house a giant she-wolf casts baleful eyes towards four year olds dressed as Spiderman and SpongeBob then raises her elongated neck to howl banefully at the full moon you have rigged to rise up realistically from the back yard.

Or, not.

If you plan on at least a minimum of Halloween spirit, like most people, you will buy a few pumpkins, a Funkin for each kid, or other carvable pumpkins and put in LED pumpkin lighting, play some Grateful Dead amidst a mournful soundtrack, and set up a skeleton with a sensor to cackle at guests as they arrive. Then, pour yourself something fresh and watch television while your spouse or kids answer the doorbell, and around 10:00 turn off the porch light and turn off the pumpkin lighting, and go to bed, after having stolen a handful of your child’s Halloween candy.

Whatever the case may be, there are numerous options for safe and effective pumpkin lighting, whether you need them for your pumpkins, Funkins or country bumpkin zombies, including pumpkins with an interior LED light that flash when activated by sound, or pumpkins with yellow eyes, an LED strobe for pumpkin lighting that flashes in the way a broken light bulb might flicker in a scary movie, or a fast flashing strobe light from a pumpkin netherworld that is scary in the same way a grinning psychotic is scary.

Other LED lights can be strung around your house to provide an eerie or festive atmosphere (it’s sometimes a subjective matter) accompanied by the usual props. Solar Pumpkin lighting that is energized during daylight hours are extremely convenient, since, in the same way that ghosts are no longer restricted to the corporeal body, they are not bound by extension lines plugged into an outlet near the house. Solar lights that are adequately charged can be placed anywhere.
