Raising a child is a huge cost no matter how that child joins your family. One cost that many people do not think about when they begin the adoption process is whether or not they want to pay for the living costs or medical bill of the birth mother. Though this is not at all a requirement, it is something that you may have to think about, especially if you are leaning towards a private adoption. Since not all birth mothers may have the resources to take care of their unborn children the way you might, you may want to spend that extra money to be sure your child is as well taken care of in utero as they will be after they are born.
